Proceeds from the event help several projects supported in part by the St. Mary's
Hospital Foundation fund-raisers. Listed below are past recipients and a brief explanation.
Cardiac Program:
In January of 2002, St. Mary's Hospital began performing open-heart surgery,
the first hospital in Benton County doing so.
Tree of Life Family Health Center:
provides in-need adults and children free access to physician services, medical
testing and social services. The mission statement reads, "...the Tree of Life Family Health Center is
committed to primary health care and the social support of the poor and powerless."
This is provided in an atmosphere of compassion and affirmation of each person's
inherent dignity.
Hospice: provides physical,
emotional and spiritual support and supplies from a professionally trained staff to
terminally ill patients and to their families.
Friends House:
provides day-care for adults who need supervision. Friends House is one of the only
adult daycare centers in the state of Arkansas. This is a vital alternative to a
nursing home - allowing a primary caretaker to work, run errands or take personal time
for themselves free from worrying about their loved one.
