Running for the Green 5K
Over 450 people participate each year in the Annual 5K and 1 Mile Fun
Run/Walk "Running for the Green."
Mercy is moving in the month of March to Mercy Medical
Center on I-540 off the Pinnacle Hills exit. Running for the Green has
been postponed until 2009.
We are still "Dreaming for the Green"... more details to come.

The proceeds from the run will be used to fund the Mercy Breast Center
and the ABCD (All 'Bout Cancer Detection) program, which serves patients
from the 6 county area. (2007 information).

Mercy Breast Center
Mercy Breast Center provides comprehensive breast care for women, including detection,
treatment and ongoing support, and information for the patient and her family.
The center is dedicated to raising the level of awareness that early detection of breast
cancer can save lives.
The Running for the Green is an event for the entire family. Our sponsors even help
by volunteering to line the course to direct the runners. The Sisters of St. Mary's
Hospital and other staff come out and help with the registration and brunch.
