Major Donations to the Capital Campaign
A Message From Susan
Although the size and scope of this project may at times seem daunting, I believe
there is one core message that we must communicate. We are not merely replacing an
old hospital with a new one. Rather, we are engaged in a process that will transform
the very nature of how we function, from cost containment to patient safety and many
other areas central to the operation of a modern healthcare facility. This process
will have very positive and dramatic implications for the healthcare consumer in
Northwest Arkansas. We talk about world-class healthcare because we will be one of
the first medical centers in the nation to affect the kind of comprehensive, systemic
change in the patient experience.
Carmen Lehman, Campaign Cabinet Corner
Our goal of raising $40 million represents one of the largest campaigns ever initiated
by a non-profit organization in this region. However, over the past several decades
our region has been blessed by unparalleled growth and the future looks even brighter.
This project will offer a number of once-in-a-lifetime naming opportunities to
philanthropically minded individuals, foundations and corporations-opportunities that
will leave a permanent and lasting legacy for generations. I am confident that the
resources are there and that the interest in this project will grow as more people
become aware of its far-reaching nature. If we were just building another hospital
I'd say are chances were slim. But we are doing something that Mayo, Johns Hopkins,
Stanford and others have not yet accomplished…and we're doing it the Northwest Arkansas way!"
