First Mercy Clinic Begins Transition to One Patient-One Record System

Rogers, AR (February 1, 2008) - Rogers Medical Center (RMC) goes-live today on the practice management component of Mercy's new One Patient-One Record information system. This begins an implementation process that will take place over the next several months, connecting all of the 20 Mercy clinics in Northwest Arkansas and the new Mercy Medical Center electronically.

RMC is the first Mercy location in Northwest Arkansas to implement this new technology. The go-live process will occur in two stages. The first stage ? being implemented today ? is the practice management portion, which includes scheduling, registration and billing. The second stage will be the electronic health record component slated for implementation at the end of February.

"Going live on the new One Patient-One Record information system first is going to be an exciting challenge for all of us at RMC," Laurie Haj, clinic manager, Rogers Medical Center said. "The system is going to revolutionize the way we are able to provide healthcare for our patients allowing all of the doctors for a particular patient to have access to the same record and enable them to share information more easily. Every level of our staff has been through extensive preparation for this transformation. We ask our patients for their understanding during this time as we try to provide as smooth a transition as possible for our patients."

Rogers Medical Center will relocate to the Mercy Physicians Plaza in early April. All physicians currently practicing at RMC will take part in this move, including: Dr. Lindley Diacon, Dr. Hugh Donnell, Dr. Lamar Howard, Dr. John Huskins, Dr. Chris Johnson, Dr. Joel Jones, Dr. Mark Lee, Dr. Andrew Lueders, Dr. Gary Neaville and Dr. Phillip Rhoads.

Mercy Medical Center will be the new home of Mercy Health System of Northwest Arkansas. The campus also includes the Mercy Physicians Plaza that will become home to 11 clinics in the Mercy network. The campus will be fully integrated between the medical center, physicians' plaza and all 20 clinics in the Mercy network via its One Patient-One Record information system.
