Patient Information
In 1995, St. Mary's Hospital (now MHS of Northwest Arkansas) entered into an affiliation with the
Sisters of Mercy Health System.
Today, Dominican Sisters, the founding order of
Mercy Medical Center (formally St. Mary's Hospital),
work with the Sisters of Mercy to serve the patients, families, employees and
physicians of Mercy Health System of Northwest Arkansas. The mission of St.
Dominic is to care for all persons with respect for their
personal worth and dignity, embracing their total needs. This mission is accomplished
through careful selection of committed, qualified co-workers
who understand our mission of caring.
The Sisters of Mercy are faithful to the service traditions of Catherine McAuley,
their order's foundress. Those traditions are marked by justice, excellence,
stewardship and respect for the dignity of each person.
